Hi! I'm fraise. this is my little corner of the internet. I started cosplaying when I was 17, my first ever cosplay was Haruhi Fujioka and it was a mix of thrifted items and a blazer made entirely by my grandmother. I started learning to sew so I could make my own cosplay and clothes not long after that. I was terrible at it for a long time but 10 years later I am finally starting to get the hang of it. Sewing has become a great passion for me and any time I'm not sewing I'm thinking about it. I do not have a dedicated crafting space and at times I have lived places where my entire workspace was the size of my 11" x 16" cutting mat, so I hope that by sharing my work I can inspire and ecourage other sewists who are working with limited space and resources.
Being a former deviantart kid I have a great love for sharing my work online in a format that doesn't have a 3-digit character limit and doesn't compress my photos down to a tiny square. I've shared my work on instagram in the past (and still do, that's probably how you found this site!) but it does not spark joy or give me the flexibility to talk about my work and show off photos of my process and finished creations in the way I would like. So here we are! I write longform blog posts about sewing and convention experiences and may share my thoughts on other things if I'm feeling inspired.
