Dinner & A Movie

House Rules:

  • No smoking or vaping in the apartment or attic. We have a back balcony for this.
  • You will see shoes in our stairwell when you enter, you don't have to take yours off as you'll want to wear them to get up to the attic and I'm not making anyone carry their shoes across the house.
  • Each movie gets its own signature cocktail, made to order. There will also always be water. If you wish to drink other alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, alcoholic seltzer, etc you are welcome to bring them. Ditto soft drinks.
  • Pretzel (cat) wants very badly to escape into the basement. Please help us prevent having to spend hours hunting for her in a creepy basement by making sure the kitchen door latches when you are coming and going from the attic.
  • Turns out making specialty cocktails is expensive?? If you can toss $5 my way it helps me cover food and drink costs.
  • this is not a potluck, so please reach out if you want to contribute a dish. I might not have room for it on the serving table.
  • RSVP is required! We have limited space and I need to know how much food to make.

  • The attic is unfinished so temperature is dependent on weather. Movie nights may need to be rescheduled in the event of unexpected heat, cold, or high winds (it's noisy). Seating includes a lot of blankets.
  • We have 2 cats and their fur and dander get everywhere, this probably extends to the attic.
  • The attic is on the 3rd floor, up a narrow, winding staircase with no handrail, in the back of the house.
  • The bathroom is on the second floor and is pretty narrow.
  • I strive to make the menu vegetarian with at least one vegan option. Due to being one guy in a tiny kitchen I cannot make any claims about cross-contamination. Food is presented with a namecard listing all ingredients.
  • Movies presented with English closed captions or, in the case of non-English films, subtitles.
  • Many of these movies are ones I have never seen and thus cannot give you any insights into content! I encourage you to do your own research if you are concerned.
